Vivo - Bodyweight and Running — Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 12, 2026
Vivo is a fitness app for iPhone. This policy explains how your data is handled.
Summary
Vivo is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not operate a backend server, do not require an account, and do not collect personal data about you.
Data Stored on Your Device
The following information is saved locally on your iPhone and never transmitted anywhere:
- Display name — the name you enter during onboarding
- Body weight — used only to estimate calorie burn; stored in your device’s local preferences
- Unit preferences — metric or imperial (weight, distance)
- Workout & exercise history — completed workouts, exercises, sets, reps, duration, estimated calories, notes, and perceived difficulty ratings
- Run history — date, distance, pace, duration, estimated calories, and GPS route coordinates
- GPS route data — latitude/longitude coordinates recorded during runs, stored on-device only
All data is stored using SwiftData, Apple’s on-device database framework. Deleting the app permanently erases all of this data.
Location & GPS
The run tracking feature uses your iPhone’s GPS to record your route, distance, and pace.
- Location access is requested only when you start the app (“When In Use”).
- Background location is used while a run is in progress so tracking continues when the screen is off.
- GPS coordinates are stored on your device only and are never transmitted to any server or third party.
- You can revoke location permission at any time in iOS Settings → Vivo → Location.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not use analytics, tracking, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs.
- We do not require a network connection for any core feature.
- We do not share your data with any third party — because we never have it.
- We do not use Apple’s HealthKit framework.
- We do not collect device identifiers, advertising identifiers (IDFA), or IP addresses.
Third-Party Libraries
Vivo uses one third-party library:
| Library |
Purpose |
Data collected |
| Lottie |
Renders animations locally on-device |
None |
Lottie makes no network requests and collects no data.
Your Control
- Change language — iOS Settings → Vivo - Bodyweight and Running → Language (the OS relaunches the app to apply the change)
- Delete individual sessions — from inside the app
- Delete all data — delete and reinstall the app
Changes to This Policy
If this approach changes — for example, if we ever add an optional account or cloud sync feature — we will update this document and notify users before any data leaves the device.
